--- Installation Instructions
=============================

You may install MelodicMatch v1.2.0 alongside previous versions of MelodicMatch.  The same Registration Key from MelodicMatch v1.0.0 may be used to register MelodicMatch v1.1.2.  See the topic "MelodicMatch Overview | Side-by-side Installation" in the Online Help for full details on running MelodicMatch v1.1.2 alongside previous versions.

================

MelodicMatch v1.2.0 contains the following enhancements since v1.1.2.

1.  Added Containers. 
2.  Added the Message Pane. 
3.  First pitches in intervallic patterns are now specified by letter name and octave rather than by MIDI pitch number. 
4.  Allow single-note intervallic patterns. 
5.  Tooltips now appear in charts that show scroll bars, including Search Groups. 
6.  Patterns can now be assigned to relationships via the context menu in the pattern list. 
7.  Added a toolbar for relationships and containers. 


--- Defect fixes
================

MelodicMatch v1.2.0 addresses the following defects.

1.  Corrected the detection of dotted rhythms.
2.  Improved the matching of compound patterns whose proximity settings specify "at exactly the same time". 
3.  Improved handling when searching in folders containing Windows Shortcuts (symbolic links). 
4.  Improved the display of empty bars in results charts. 

--- Known defects
=================

MelodicMatch v1.2.0 contains the following defects that may be addressed in a future release.

1.  The application's default desktop icon may be incorrect in some installations.  The correct icon may be selected manually from within the melodicmatch.exe executable file.
